We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Data Scientist who will provide their expertise to our entire team. You will be helping develop a platform that is currently used by over 300 non-profit organizations throughout North America and beyond. You will be part of a team that is building, scaling, and maintaining Raisin’s products. We also look to you to help personalize the platform experience for each user, which is where your data science and machine learning expertise comes in.
We are looking for a highly experienced Data Scientist to join our Tech Team and become the crucial link between our products and the monitoring, measurement, and analysis that can optimize the fundraising process for our non-profit clients. We have 20 years of data of our clients running Peer-to-Peer events, donations campaigns, and ticketed events and we are looking to you to help us optimize the use of that data. This role blends advanced analytics, data modeling, reporting, and applied data science to help transform information into insight and action.
What You’ll Do

- Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques where appropriate to uncover trends and predictive signals.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
- Improve data governance, documentation, and best practices across systems.
- Contribute to AI-enabled capabilities within our platform and internal workflows.
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor others and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Who You Are
- 8+ years of experience with Data Science, big data technologies, and Machine Learning.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, or a similar field.
- A strong analytical thinker who moves comfortably between strategy and hands-on execution.
- Highly proficient in SQL and Python, with experience in analytics tools and BI platforms.
- Experienced working in SaaS environments with complex, multi-source data.
- Comfortable owning data quality, structure, and reporting foundations, not just modeling.
- Able to simplify complex findings into practical recommendations.
- Energized by autonomy and motivated by building systems that scale.
- Collaborative and impact-driven, with an appreciation for nonprofit technology and fundraising outcomes.
- Curious about AI and applied machine learning, and excited to integrate intelligence into real-world workflows.
